Sahoj Path is the brainchild of Ankita Podder a West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) Gold Medalist, who pursued her Mtech in computer science in Engineering. Ankita had pursued her post graduation in Human resource management, giving her much significant experience.

Ankita Podder has about 8 years of experience in teaching Competitive Exams, making her working with the ‘success ratio’ one of her prime focuses. She has trained approximately 50,000 students using on-line mode of teaching and she specializes in teaching any subject using the methods of strategic mind-mapping.

WBCS is the exam name for West Bengal Civil Service Exam. This exam is conducted annually to recruit the Group A officers for the West bengal Provincial Civil Services. Given that this exam is a crucial part to an important position with significant responsibilities, the standards are quite high.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria in respect to WBCS exam areas follows-

  1. A degree of any recognized university
  2. The candidate must be in good health and must have good character and suitability in all respects for appointment to Government Service
  3. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali
  4. Age will be calculated as per 1st January of the year of the exam
  5. Age limits for each group are-
    1. Minimum WBCS Age Limit-
      • Group A and C – 21 years
      • Group B – 20 years (For West Bengal Police Service only)
      • Group D – 21 years
    2. Maximum WBCS Age Limit-
      • Group A and C – 36 years (As on January 1 of the year of the examination)
      • Group B – 36 years (As on January 1 of the year of the examination)
      • Group D – 39 years (As on January 1 of the year of the examination)
  6. Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to SC,ST,OBC, Physically Handicapped (PH), Ex-serviceman / Government Employees (Central & State) candidates.
